An African perspective

Introduced since 2017 by pan-African rating agency Bloomfield Investment Corporation, Country Risk Conferences aim to map the investment risk of a given country on the basis of a country risk report prepared by Bloomfield.

It is a one-day conference-debate with a presentation of the country risk report by Bloomfield, the reaction to the report by the Minister of Finance followed by four (04) thematic panels.

Perspective (1)
Rapport Risque

Country Risk Report

The Country Risk Report is aimed at international, regional and local investors. It answers the three (3) fundamental questions that investors generally ask themselves: What is the opportunity to invest? What is the potential return on investment? What is the risk of losing capital?
The Bloomfield report highlights the country’s strengths, weaknesses and opportunities, enabling investors to make informed investment decisions.
The Minister of Finance, as representative of the country concerned, then shares the government’s reaction to the rating obtained and the content of the country risk report.

4 Panels led by eminent personalities

On each panel we have a sector minister representing the government, three other panelists from the private sector and regional or international institutions, and a moderator.

The discussions led by these eminent panellists therefore relate to the strengths, opportunities and impact of current economic trends on businesses, as well as the weaknesses of the country concerned.
